The LEGO Ultimate Millennium Falcon

Some kids never grow up. I'm proud to count myself among them.

This LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon model is definitely the largest set created at nearly three feet long when fully assembled and 5,000 pieces. The detail is incredible. It comes with five mini figures including Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia Organa. Also included with the set is an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity, sealed within the product box itself.

At almost 3 feet (90cm) long, the LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon is the ultimate attention-getter for any Star Wars collection! When completed, this model is over 33-inches long, 22-inches wide, and eight-inches tall. Rotating top- and bottom-mounted quad-laser turrets, a radar dish that rotates and can be elevated, and a boarding ramp that can be extended are just some of the cool features included in this model. You can seat a crew of four mini-figures at the controls in the removable cockpit. And landing gear provides a stable base for model to stand on.

The LEGO Ultimate Millennium Falcon took over 50 hours to build with my sons. We laughed and reminisced the Star Wars scenes as we built. One of the funnest projects we've done together with the result being spectacular!

If you can afford the high price ticket, it is well worth every minute! Definitely on our Top Star Wars Toys for Christmas list.

Another toy on my list of Tops Star Wars Toys...

If you're a die-hard Star Wars fan, you've undoubtedly checked out the new Star Wars Legacy action figures. The Legacy Collection brings back some old favorites as well as some new faces. These 3 3/4-inch scale plastic action figures each include accessories and feature tremendous detail.

Wave 3 (Revenge of the Sith) came out late 2008. Wave 4 (A New Hope) just came out in November. There are some awesome characters in Wave 3 and Wave 4. Both waves are well worth collecting!

And, if you can't wait for Wave 5...

It's coming in January, and you can pre-order it here. Here are the characters I've been told are in that package:

Star Wars Clone Wars Monopoly

While the Star Wars Clone Wars Monopoly game isn't one of the most talked about Star Wars toys for 2008, I'm including it in my top 10 list for Christmas, 2008. I love this game. As fans of the classic monopoly game, my boys flipped when they saw the Clone Wars version. This Star Wars-themed game turns the classic Monopoly board into an exciting real estate Clone War. So, it was a real hit.

Here's the specs...

Star Wars Monopoly Clone Wars Edition

The galaxy is torn by conflict. Good and evil are pitted against each other in an epic battle for control. First choose a side. Then travel around the game board buying, selling and renting properties based on the Star Wars The Clone Wars animated series. The more you control, the further your power will spread.

Scenes from the Clone Wars TV series add more excitement to the overall game experience as players sell, buy and trade planets. In this Special Edition you can build settlements and cities in place of the classic houses and hotels, and optional Star Wars rules add even more excitement. Be the most powerful player at the end of the game and you will control the Force and possibly the entire Star Wars galaxy.

The Star Wars Clone Wars Monopoly game comes with six collectible tokens: Star Wars-themed tokens: Clone Commander Rex, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tona, General Grievous, and Asajj Ventress. Game also includes game board, 28 title deeds, 16 Sith cards, 16 Jedi cards, one pack of Republic credits, banker’s tray, 32 settlements, 12 cites, 2 dice and instructions. For 2 to 6 players, ages 8 and up.

If you're a Star Wars fan and you like Monopoly, this combination is for you to share with friends and family!

Welcome to the Top Star Wars Toys Blog

I'm a big Star Wars fan. I hate to admit it -- I have a whole room full of Star Wars toys, gadgets and gizmos.

I'm usually first in line at the midnight madness sales. I watch all the news and press releases for soon-to-be-released Star Wars toys, electronics and gadgets. If a toy is coming out soon, I'm on it.

There, I feel much better just having admitted it.

I'll use this space to blog about the top star wars toys, the toys and gadgets I feel are best, new Star Wars toys for 2009, and those I feel are just plain cool.

In these first posts, I'll share my list of Top 10 Star Wars Toys for Christmas 2008.

Time for some fun!
